Throw back to the fire in the sky back in early August of last year when smoke creeped into Vancouver from #BCWildfires 🔥 I felt the need to post this in light of the wildfire started last week in Lions Bay on Brunswick Mountain. Investigators have determined it was caused by a person (SMFH) . A BIG SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to @LionsBayFire along with 24 personnel from Ministry of Forest, @TalonCopters and @LionsBaySAR who came to the rescue! 🔥 . Only you can PREVENT FOREST FIRES 🌲🔥 . Prevention means stopping wildfires before they start. Discarded cigarette butts, campfires, hot exhaust pipes coming into contact with dry grass and vegetation, power tools (such as chainsaws), Tiki torches and even discarded glass can all ignite a wildfire. ~ www.BCWildfire.ca .
