A Whale's Tale 🐳 Yesterday's exciting day hosted by @VanWhaleWatch and their awesome knowledgeable staff, Sara and Captain Scott. Our 12 passenger zodiac departed from Fisherman's Wharf in the historic Steveston Village and made our way across the Salish Sea to the beautiful Gulf Islands near Victoria, BC. This female Humpback Whale was spotted just off the shores of Saturna Island. She was playing with her calf and teaching her the ropes! An amazing site to see and puts ocean life in a whole new perspective. Later on we were lucky to see a few pods of Transient Orcas (aka Killer Whales), seals, sea lions and up close to a bald eagle's nest on the jetty off the shores of Richmond, BC. I strongly recommend going whale watching at least once in your life. For the cost of a concert ticket, you'll have memories to last a lifetime. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would like to thank @VanWhaleWatch again for their most excellent tour. Twin Peaks 💕 Last night's explosive sunset over "Ch'ich'iyúy Elxwíkn" (Twin Sisters) the Squamish name for these two glorious mountain peaks and more commonly referred to as "The Lions". Looking over a salmon coloured Burrard Inlet to the lights of Neptune Terminals on the north shore, the trees of Moodyville Park in North Vancouver, over Capilano Lake to our beautiful coastal mountains. On the other side of the Lions is the Sea to Sky Highway and the sleepy little community of Lions Bay on Howe Sound. Polar Lights 💚💙💜 This morning's light show along the Sea to Sky at Porteau Cove. Looking north over the Howe Sound at the Aurora Borealis dancing over Squamish. There's nothing like stargazing in the middle of this most southerly fjord in North America. When I arrived, the moon had just set and large columns of light were spiking into the sky.
